Postcards from far away

Do forgive for the lack of posts. Still taking a long pause and spending the summer holidays in Europe. It has been one of the perks my wonderful parents promised after graduation and for passing the boards. Oh! I forgot to mention. Just passed the Nursing Licensure exam last february! The rapture of pleasure that was for me. I can't rundown the hoopla and jitters after the results. Well, enough about tha. Going back, I'm currently in Rome and here's some of the photos I took here.

Rome contains a remarkable artistic heritage.
This is the monumental Spanish Steps packed with tourists.
Being the tourists that we are. With my brother Dryw doing our favorite jump shot.
Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain. The figure in the center is Neptune, God of the sea.
The water at the bottom of the fountain represents the sea. Legend has it you will return to Rome if you throw a coin into the water. You should toss it over your shoulder with your back to the fountain.
Threw my coin. Lets see if it really works! :)
The Colosseum, originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre. Located at the center of the city. Long before, it was used for performances of the gladiators and other special events.
Traveler's can enjoy a tour riding this carriage around outside the amphitheatre.

Notice my black umbrella? The weather here is so unpredictable and bipolar. Sometimes it would be intensely hot reaching up to 30 C/ then sudden rain / or just plainly strong cold wind. Hence the reason for my enesmble. Cardigan - Mango | Top - Bershka | Skirt - H&M | Shoes - Fredd Perry

Defying gravity. Got the idea from Natsumi Hayashi
Cardigan, Top, Shorts- Zara | Necklace - Pull and Bear | Eyewear, Bag- Mango | Bracelet- H&M | Shoes - Repetto

Missed talking to you guys! Hope you're enjoying the summer holidays too!

Much too soon

A day has passed since Bea left to go back to her hometown and I MISS HER ALREADY! Even my room misses her. haha. I wish there was some way I could keep her here. (PS. BEA! make up your mind soon! teehee.) I don't want to go all melodramatic on this post and just stop here.
Thanks to our helper for taking some of the photos!

dont mind my face. haha

Included this photo because Gucci is in it and she's so adorably CUTE!

Benefits of Benefit!

Benefit is a cosmetic line that began as a neighborhood makeup boutique in San Francisco.
What started as an impetuously fun locale experiment "beauty locker room" has skyrocketed into something awe-inspiring and global!
some kind of gorgeous ( the foundation faker), "that gal" (brightening face primer), ooh la lift (instant under-eye brightening boost), the POREfessional (PRO balm to minimize the appearncee of pores), erase paste (brightening camouflage for eyes & face), benetint (rose-tinted lip & cheek tint)

This "action-packed" line is renown for its irresistible frolicsome packaging, catchy labels and  heartwarming ideas!
On normal days, I don't put any makeup on my face except for the rose-tinted stain and BB cream from etude. Truth be told, I'm not the make-up type of person. I'm not even good at putting them on. But thanks to the help of youtube my skills have evolved a bit. haha. I just can't control my impulse to buy these products covered in cute parcels! Blame it on weird girly urges to ogle and buy all things adorable.
confessions of a concealaholic (your secret concealing & brightening kit), "take a picture...it lasts longer..." (a silky glimmering body balm), big beautiful eyes (an eye contour kit)
My cousin / partner-in-crime Bea succumbed to dollying herself up using and with the help of youtube!

Culinary Enlightenment?

I'm no cook. Despite that, last sunday I tried to take over the kitchen and tried my non- existent culinary skills. haha. I'm confident i can follow a recipe, or maybe i was. It was a hit and miss affair, not entirely though. The cake didn't rise, the icing wasn't sticky enough, and the chicken marsala looked weird.
Chocolate mudslide, the name speaks for itself. haha
Don't let the photo deceive you. It actually tastes good! haha. (Chicken Marsala)
Au contraire, You judged me too soon. However, my vaguely distinguished skills. Everything was still palatable! I guess I'm a step closer to beating those Junior Master Chef. haha. Also did baked shrimps, potato soup and lumpia curry. Was too hungry and tired to take pictures of the rest. If you've noticed we cooked all this in one day. Really tried every course of the meal.

Here Comes the Sun

Hola!  I just got back from Singapore!

Theme parks! I wish i could put into words how awesome they are, after all who doesn't love them? Downside at times is the really long walks and i don't even wanna start on how long some of the lines one bares waiting for our turn. Nonetheless, I still think their AWESOME!

Here is what I wore at Universal Studios, breathable clothes and flats are essential for all day comfort.

Located in the little red dot of Asia, Universal Studios Singapore is rather little compared to its other counterparts. But don't speak to soon. Piece of information is, it's jam packed full of large rides in a small area!

The Good Left Undone

Pardon my stupid face. HAHA. still new at this.

Denim Top: Zara
Nirvana shirt: H&M
Skirt: Pull and Bear
Bag: Mulberry
Necklace: Pull and Bear

(Photo credits to my brother Das)

Mitchy here! At hand is my initial look post! It's nothing fancy. I needed comfy clothes for all the wandering and tourist stuff we had that day. My dad decided he'd give me a tour of Macau seeing that I'm the only one in our family who havent been able to set foot there! I'll rant all about our trip on my next post.

The denim top was actually a treat from my Tito last month. He insisted on indulging us on an early Christmas gift! I've been using this top a lot lately. It's cause it's so easy to wear, especially when I'm in a hurry and have no time to rummage my clothes.
Notice I'm wearing my favorite chucks! You can never go wrong with wearing plain old chucks. It's my go to shoes when i wanna feel my feet needs restful. I've had these pair for 5 years! A hand me down from my brother which he outgrew long before I was still taller than him.

Hope you like this look!

I'll try to post more soon!

Start Somewhere

Hurray for our first post! Finally gathered up the wits to start this blog!

There's a lot of things I wanna try doing; bun-jee jump, swim with the dolphins, be a singer (this would be a long shot, i need to learn how to sing first!). BUT for now, i'm gonna try taking things one step at a time, and thats BLOGGING!

Here's the thing. On the first line, i said "OUR" first post. It's because I'll be sharing this blog with my cuz BEA! Yup. You read that right. A blog parcel on the both of us! We're puzzled ourselves on how this long distance blogging relationship goes. Despite that, it's something we've always wanted to do. So, why not give it a shot!

(photo: Bea left, Mitchy right)

From last June 2011. Pardon, we don't have a recent photo. With us living in different cities and all. Hope this would do for now. Promise, we'll try to make up for it! :)

Though our family isnt the traditional filipino-chinese we still follow some of the customs and traditions such as wearing red during birthday celebrations. :) It has been chinese beliefs that the color red is considered good luck. Hence, the reason of our ensemble.

To those who read this post and dropped by our blog, Thank you!

Keep posted for more soon!
